Kanjeng Raden Mas Haryo Tatas Hardo Panintingjati Brotosudarmo is a biochemist at Petra Christian University in Surabaya, Indonesia. His primary research interest is in natural pigments and phytochemicals, with a focus on their bioactive properties, including antioxidant, antimicrobial, and anticancer activities. His research aims to elucidate the structure, composition, and stability of these compounds, employing eco-friendly and efficient extraction methods, such as solvent-free techniques and ultrasonication, to maximise yields while preserving bioactivity. His research advocates for evidence-based healthcare policies in Indonesia and explores the intersection of biochemical food composition and human health.
He is committed to enhancing EU-ASEAN relations through interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral partnerships. As the EURAXESS Worldwide Representative, he serves as a key mediator in strengthening Europe-ASEAN scientific ties, focusing on research initiatives such as Horizon Europe and promoting researcher mobility and exchanges.
With over 20 years of research management experience, Dr. Tatas provides consultancy services to ASEAN institutions, helping them build resilient research frameworks, drive innovation, and cultivate strategic international partnerships. His efforts have elevated the global profile of research communities, fostering collaborations that contribute to sustainable progress.
